What Are Xenon Lights?
Xenon lights, relatively, are new technologies in lighting. It is proven to be brighter than most of the artificial lighting available including halogen. These lighting option is also much more cost efficient and energy efficient. This type of lighting produces lights that is five times brighter than a halogen light. It also lasts ten times longer. Today, most halogen bulbs are replaced by xenon lights in automobile headlights.
Xenon lights are preferred by most vehicle owners and drivers because the transition border between darkness and light of Xenon light is much more defined than with a halogen light. Thus, there would be lesser light that would be reflected from the headlights of oncoming cars that uses these bulbs. The glare also does not disturb drivers unless of course they will look at the light directly. This may occur only when drivers are not yet accustomed to such bright and yet controlled headlights. But they will soon be. Originally, these xenon lights were used for large areas which need adequate lighting like in indoor basketball courts, gyms, movie houses, parking lots and warehouses. And as this lighting system was developed, it was also developed to be adapted for use in cars.
